MODERN WELLBEING
EVENTS & WORKSHOPS
For Businesses and Individuals
does KALA exist?
To provide a modern approach to wellbeing.
We started KALA because most wellbeing spaces weren’t built with men or diverse workplaces in mind - or if they were, they didn’t speak their language. Too often it’s overly spiritual, vague, or you need to be an expert in yoga.
We wanted something different. Something direct, useful, and built for the realities these two groups face today: work stress, isolation, burnout, poor sleep and stuck in city life. So we created it.
We wanted KALA to offer a better option, one that doesn’t require changing who you are or knowing your astrology chart, but just showing up.
This is why we created KALA Social, modern wellbeing events for the everyman and KALA Corporate, wellbeing experiences for all the workforce.
Why
Strength & Stretch
The 90min taster session provides an insight into the sessions and workshops we offer. Each class blends strength & mobility work, guided breathwork and presence training, designed to leave you feeling rested and refueled, giving men a space to move and breathe. Simple, practical and energising.
Move, Breathe & Dip
This 3 hour session combines movement, breathwork and presence conditioning, preparing you to finish and maybe even enjoy an ice bath. Using science-backed techniques for improving health & performance, with no cringey spiritual elements, this workshop gives you a rounded experience of what KALA is about.
Weekender
Our weekend retreats bring everything together; movement, breathwork, cold exposure and workshops, while offering much more. Set in a secluded forest in England, these retreats are a full digital detox and an escape from city life. With the opportunity to slow down and switch off, it’s a deep reset and a space to socialise with your friends or similar minded lads.
Who are KALA
KALA was founded by two friends with a shared passion, to make wellbeing more accessible.

Alex claims to be a ‘regular guy’ and can be found watching any sport in the pub or squashed up against the door on the northern line. He came across freediving a few years ago where he first realised a connection between breath and the mental state. Now a certified freediver and yoga instructor, he teaches breath control and mindfulness as tools for calm and clarity. His approach to exercise on the mat blends strength, balance and mental focus, shaped by his experience leading both energising flows and restorative sessions. All he wants is for more people to try some of the simple and practical wellbeing tools KALA and others offer.

Kate’s expertise lies in somatic therapy, where she works with the body and mind to help release tension, stress, and emotional blockages. With a strong background in yoga and somatic healing, she specializes in using body-centered techniques to promote nervous system regulation, reduce stress, and cultivate emotional resilience. Her holistic approach allows her to create deeply transformative experiences that address both physical and emotional wellbeing.
What some of our ice bath dippers and first time stretchers have said

I’m not flexible, don’t practice yoga and generally focus on high intensity exercise to break up the week. The session with KALA was a very welcome change of pace and I learnt a lot about my body, particularly breathing, which I have incorporated into everyday life.

It was refreshing and pushed me outside my comfort zone in the best way. After my first ice bath I felt energised, clear-headed, and surprisingly calm.

My experience with KALA was a great one overall! The practical approach that Kate & Alex for preparing us for my first ever ice bath was ideal. They supported us with personalised guidance during our breathing and stretching phases of the session and motivated us into pushing ourselves beyond what I thought I was capable of!
